The conference venue Wisby Strand is located in Visby, on Gotland Island in the Baltic Sea. This Hanseatic town is a UNESCO world heritage site with several churches and buildings belonging to 12th Century. This enchanting medieval town is also known for its beautiful beaches and gardens.

Visby is one of the main inspiring cities for studio Ghibli film Kiki’s Delivery Service. Also, Pippi Longstocking movies were filmed in the beautiful streets of Visby and the original Villa Villerkulla can be found just outside the town.
